Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

That looks like Inform.

Bullet Proof Skin.
Well, close to it anyway. It stops a reduced charge rifle bullet for now. A Dutch woman made that as an art project. The Netherlands has cooler art than we do.

A million virtual monkeys randomly create Shakespeare.
Apparently, virtual monkeys like A Lover's Complaint, which is totally not the best play Shakespeare did. I guess virtual monkeys have no taste.

Monkeys control robotic arms by direct neural interface. Different from existing research because these monkeys also got a robotic sense of touch to go with their robotic arms. Can anybody say Deus Ex?
DSMatticus wrote:There are two things you can learn from the Gaming Den:
1) Good design practices.
2) How to be a zookeeper for hyper-intelligent shit-flinging apes.
Unfortunately, while Deus Ex was based off modern work in robot limbs, the bit about expensive medication with horrific side effects and crippling dependency was apparently also based off modern work in robot limbs. So, yeah, don't actually chop off a limb for a superior replacement anytime soonish.
